Cleveland Barons News Release

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Barons today announced plans for the launch of the "Barons Charitable Partnership Program" for the 2003-04 season. Michael T. Lehr, president of the Cleveland Barons, made the announcement.

An extension of Cleveland Barons Charities, the "Barons Charitable Partnership Program" enables Greater Cleveland area charities to sell Barons game tickets for a select game. For each $21 ticket sold, $11 will be donated to the charitable organization. By selling the minimum 250 tickets, the charity automatically raises $2,750. Also, the charity will receive a table in the concourse to promote their organization, a listing in the Barons Game Day Program, logo recognition on the Barons website, a display on the Jumbotron, and an announcement on the radio broadcast during the game. For more information on how your charitable organization can become involved in the "Barons Charitable Partnership Program", contact the Barons front office by calling 216-420-0000.

Cleveland Barons Charities is dedicated to form continuous relationships with corporations and organizations with a commitment to improving the quality of life of the families and individuals in the greater Cleveland area.

"We have done a great deal of fund raising for organizations during the past two seasons," stated Lehr. "The Barons Charitable Partnership Program really takes it to the next level and the community of greater Cleveland will benefit in a big way."

In related news, LifeBanc is the first charity involved in the Barons Charitable Partnership Program. LifeBanc, an organization established to increase organ and tissue donation for those awaiting transplant while educating people of all ages about the need for and the benefits of organ and tissue donation, will be recognized during the Barons home opener on October 11th.

Get ready for the Barons home opener live at Gund Arena on October 11th at 7:05pm. From a Full Season Ticket to a 3-game Hat Trick, every Barons ticket offer includes the home opener.
