Barnstormers Travel to Green Bay for Friday Night Fight

Coming off of their fourth win of the season and second against rival Sioux Falls, the Iowa Barnstormers (4-2) will travel to Green Bay to face the Blizzard (3-4) on Friday to start the back half of the season schedule.
Iowa, now scheduled to play 12 games total in 2021, looks to keep the momentum that brought them the win against the Storm a week ago.
The Barnstormers, at 4-2, now sit in sole possession of the fourth seed in the IFL - if the playoffs started today. The top four seeds in the league will host first round playoff games.
To weather the Blizzard, Iowa's defense will have to limit the productivity of receiving duo Eric Thomas Jr. and Keshaun Taylor. The duo has combined for 14 touchdowns on the season and average 74 yards of production per game.
The defensive unit has been the key to whether Iowa will win or lose a game on any given week this season.
A forced fumble against Bismarck, a second-half shutout against Tucson, and a game-clinching stop against Sioux Falls were all pivotal moments in victories this year for the team.
The offense, meanwhile, has stayed steady and productive.
Defending IFL MVP Daquan Neal is averaging 155.5 yards per game and has converted for 17 touchdowns through the air. Both numbers are good for second in the league.
Neal has contributed eight rushing touchdowns on the season as well and, along with running back Elad Covaliu, has led the offense on the ground.
Friday night's game is slated to start at 7:05 p.m. CT and will be broadcasted on both YouTube and WHO Radio 1040am in Des Moines.
