
Barnstormers to present $10,000 to Ephrata Cancer Center

Representatives from the Lancaster Barnstormers will present a check in the amount of $10,205 to the Ephrata Cancer Center on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. The Barnstormers raised the money by auctioning off pink game-worn jerseys during the team's game on Friday, June 16.
The Barnstormers' mascot Cylo, along with marketing director Jason Jesberger and I.M. Fun will present the check to John Porter, president of Ephrata Community Hospital.
The Ephrata Cancer Center was created to bring cancer treatment closer to home. The center combines state-of-the-art treatment, highly competent staff and personalized care to make cancer treatment as comfortable as possible. The center is affiliated with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital to participate in national cancer research efforts.
The Barnstormers have raised an average of nearly $10,000 in each of three jersey auctions over the past two seasons. The team presented checks in the amount of $11,000 to Schreiber Pediatrics and $10,000 to Vantage House last season.
