
Barnstormers Re-Sign Pete Traynor

DES MOINES - Iowa Barnstormers Head Coach and Director of Football Operations John Gregory announced today that the Arena Football League team has re-signed free agent Center Pete Traynor. The former University of Iowa Hawkeye will report to the Barnstormers 2011 training camp on February 20.
Traynor (6-4, 300) returns for a second season with the Barnstormers. Last season he started 15 games at Center as part of one of the AFL's stronger Offensive Lines. He also has Arena Football experience having spent time with the New York Dragons (2007) and the af2's Quad City Steamwheelers (2003-05). In 2006, Traynor signed with the Green Bay Packers and played in four games. He also started all 10 games for the NFL Europe's Rhein Fire.
At the University of Iowa, Traynor played in 26 games from 2000-02. He was named to the academic Big 10 team twice and was a three time letter winner. The Wisconsin native played high school football at Milton High School where he was first team all conference as a junior and senior.
