Sharks Trade for Defensive Back

JACKSONVILLE, Fla - The Jacksonville Sharks announce a trade with the Arizona Rattlers for defensive back Marquis Hundley. In return, the Sharks trade the Rattlers future considerations.

Hundley (5'10, 180, Arizona) joins the Sharks for his rookie season in the Arena Football League. Hundley, originally from Vallejo, California, began his collegiate career at Santa Rosa Community College before finishing his collegiate career at the University of Arizona. Hundley had big shoes to fill taking over for Thorpe Award winner Antoine Cason and he did not disappoint. Hundley had a key 4th quarter interception in the end zone against BYU in the Las Vegas Bowl and also had interceptions against USC, New Mexico, and rival Arizona State. Hundley also returned a fumble 87 yards for a touchdown against Idaho and finished his senior year tied for the team lead with 4 interceptions while compiling 59 total tackles, 5 tackles for loss and 7 pass breakups. In addition to big play ability, Hundley adds even more speed to an already fast roster having been timed as low as a 4.36 in the 40 yard dash.
