Lancaster Stormers News Release
Right-handed reliever Kaleb Fleck has been signed by the Lancaster Barnstormers and will be active for the scheduled Thursday evening doubleheader against the Long Island Ducks, it was announced today by manager Ross Peeples.
Fleck, 29, signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks out of Pitt-Johnstown in 2012 and by 2015, he was pitching at Class AAA Reno where he remained for the bulk of three seasons. His best season came in 2014 at Class AA Mobile when he went 7-3 with 17 saves and a 2.56 ERA for the Class AA Bay Bears.
Earlier this season, the Altoona native was closer to home, pitching for the Class AA Harrisburg Senators where he was 4-4 with a 4.35 ERA in 25 appearances. Fleck had worked 39 1/3 innings on the season, pitching for one-time Barnstormer Matt LeCroy.
"After looking him up and from the reports we have gotten, we have heard nothing but good things about Kaleb," said Peeples. "He has a power arm and should be able to help us out toward the back end of our bullpen."
