HIGH POINT, N.C. - The Lancaster Barnstormers banged out 15 hits on Thursday night and snapped High Point's five-game winning streak with a 10-2 win at Truist Point.
Rocker starting pitcher Craig Stem (0-2) took the loss while Lancaster's Andro Cutura improved to 2-0 with the win.
Giovanny Alfonzo had two of the Rockers' nine hits on the evening including a lead-off triple in the fifth.
Lancaster took a 1-0 in the top of the first when Devon Torrence led off the game with a single and scored following consecutive singles by Caleb Gindl and Blake Gailen. The Rockers got on the board in the second when Stuart Levy reached on an error, moved to third on a single by Logan Moore and scored on a sacrifice fly by Adam Taylor.
Caleb Gindl homered to right leading off the third to put Lancaster ahead 3-1. The 'Stormers added two more runs in the frame when Kelly Dugan drew out a two-out walk and moved to second on a single by Blake Allemand. Both scored on a double by Clark for a 5-1 advantage.
