Barnstormers Dominate Blizzard

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers (5-2) beat the Green Bay Blizzard (0-7) 46-25 Saturday night at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.

The first quarter started off with Green Bay quarterback Bryan Hicks throwing a 44-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Chris Malott. Iowa quarterback Grant Rohach answered back with a touchdown pass to wide receiver Ryan Balentine. Iowa's Rohach connected with wide receiver Sheldon Augustine for a short touchdown pass, but the extra point was no good. Iowa's defensive back Bryce Enyard returned an interception for a touchdown. Green Bay defensive back Darrius Sims took an interception back for a touchdown, and the two-point conversion was good. The Iowa Barnstormers led the Green Bay Blizzard at halftime 20-15.

The third quarter began with Augustine running the ball in for an Iowa touchdown, but the PAT was no good. Green Bay's Hicks handed the ball off to wide receiver Jereme Jones for the touchdown run. Iowa's Rohach made a touchdown pass to wide receiver Brady Roland. Iowa's Rohach completed a touchdown pass to Balentine. Iowa's Rohach ran the ball in for a 3-yard touchdown run, but the PAT was no good. Green Bay kicker Jordan Endries made a 51-yard field goal.
