SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm faced the Nebraska Danger on Friday, April 27 in a week 10 battle. The Storm moved to 6-2 on the season after a 62-48 win over the Danger.

The first quarter began with back to back touchdowns by the Storm to give them an early 14-0 lead; first a 35-yard touchdown from Lorenzo Brown to Judd Harrold and then a one-yard rushing touchdown by Lorenzo Brown. The Danger would get on the board after a 55-yard kickoff return by Korey Ringer to bring the score to 14-7. The Storm ended the quarter with a 43-yard touchdown pass by Lorenzo Brown to Mike Tatum, giving the Storm a 21-7 lead.

The second quarter would be a back and forth bout between the two teams. Sioux Falls would strike first with a 28-yard scamper by Lyle McCombs, extending the Storm's lead to 28-7. Nebraska would answer with a 33-yard field goal by Brad Hatfield to bring the score to 28-10. Sioux Falls would then answer with a 29-yard touchdown pass by Lorenzo Brown to Mike Tatum to extend the lead to 35-10. Nebraska would score on back to back drives to cut the lead to 35-21; the first score was a 36-yard field goal by Brad Hatfield and then a nine-yard touchdown pass by Jesse Scroggins to Gregory Dent. Sioux Falls would end the half with 38-21 lead after a 33-yard field goal by Miles Bergner.

The Danger would receive the kickoff to start the third quarter and would capitalize with back to back touchdowns to bring the score to 38-34; first a one-yard rushing touchdown by Jesse Scroggins and then a one-yard rush by Angelo Pease. The Storm responded with a six-yard quarterback keeper by Lorenzo Brown, extending the Storm's lead to 45-34. The Danger and running back Angelo Pease answered with a 41-yard rushing touchdown and two-point conversion to cut the lead to 45-42. The Storm would end the third quarter with a lead with a 52-42 after a 21-yard touchdown pass by Lorenzo Brown to Judd Harrold.

The fourth quarter would start with back to back scores by the Storm to extend their lead to 62-42; the first score was a 14-yard rushing touchdown by Lorenzo Brown and then a 45-yard field goal by Miles Bergner. Nebraska would score the final touchdown of the game with a five-yard touchdown pass by Jesse Scroggins to Gregory Dent bringing the final score to 62-48.

Storm quarterback Lorenzo Brown completed 10 of 16 passes for 189 yards and four touchdowns and one interception, he also rushed 11 times for 54 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Lyle McCombs finished with nine rushes for 53 yards and one touchdown. Wide receivers Mike Tatum and Judd Harrold each had three receptions and two touchdowns. Defensive lineman Chris Martin led the Storm defense with 5.5 total tackles and one sack. Defensive back Jabari Gorman recorded one interception while linebacker Dezmin Reed recorded one sack.

The Sioux Falls Storm will face the Iowa Barnstormers in a week 11 contest on Saturday, May 5 at the Denny Sanford Premier Center for a 7:05pm kickoff.
