Michael Douglas and Kathleen Douglas are chucking the dishes and the furniture.

The War of the Roses has reached a high offense crescendo in 2021.

Caleb Gindl with 3-for-4 with a home run, and the Barnstormers took advantage of four York errors as the Lancaster Barnstormers pounded the York Revolution, 15-7, in the opener of a three-game series at People's Bank Park.

With the win, the Barnstormers lead the baseball version of the War of the Roses, three games to one. The current season series has seen an average of 21.5 runs per game, with none of the four being fewer than 20.

After Yan Sanchez put York ahead, 5-3, with a base-clearing double in the bottom of the second, the Barnstormers scored 12 unanswered runs. Kelly Dugan singled home a run in the top of the third to trim the lead to one, but it was Gindl's blast to right with two men aboard in the fourth that gave Lancaster the lead. A bunt single by Melvin Mercedes, a walk to Blake Gailen, a fielder's choice, balk, wild pitch and Alejando De Aza sacrifice fly put two more runs on the board for a 9-5 lead.

In the fifth, the Barnstormers broke it open to 12-5 when Darian Sandford lost a Trayvon Robinson fly ball to left center with the bases loaded, allowing all three runs to score.

Dominic DiSabatino (1-2) picked up his first Atlantic League win. He pitched five innings, allowing 10 hits and five runs. The right-hander walked three and struck out eight York batters.

Cleuluis Rondon also collected three hits for Lancaster while Blake Allemand hit a solo homer in the second after his foul pop up was dropped by third baseman Josh Vitters on the previous pitch.

Lancaster will send Danny Taggart (0-2) to the mound on Wednesday evening against Alex Sanabia (3-0). Fans may tune into the Barnstormers YouTube Channel, starting at 6:25.

NOTES: Lancaster scored six unearned runs in the game...Everyone in Lancaster's starting lineup had at least one hit...The Barnstormers established a new season high with 15 runs while York set a new high with 17 hits...The Barnstormers used their two newest pitchers - Jordan McCrum and RJ Peace over the last two innings...McCrum, fresh out of the University of Pittsburgh, retired the side in order with two strikeouts...Peace, a former Marlins farmhand, gave up two runs on the first three batters before settling down...Dugan has 10 RBI in seven games.
