Barnstormers Announce Full 2015 Promotional Schedule

The long winter is over and Spring is officially here! The Lancaster Barnstormers have announced an extraordinary promotional schedule for 2015 that rivals any team in all of professional sports. "I study the promotional schedules of Major and Minor League teams across the nation, " Barnstormers Vice President - Tony DeMarco noted, " I have not seen any organization put together a promotional schedule that matches the Barnstormers in variety, scope and excitement."

The defending Atlantic League Champions open the 2015 season on Thursday, April 30th with a massive celebration and championship ring ceremony. Music will be performed by the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra and the first 1,000 fans 16 and older will receive a Championship t-shirt. A special guest appearance will be made by Philadelphia Phillies Icon Charlie Manuel who will throw out the First Pitch to kick off the 2015 season.

Another Phillies legend, Darren Daulton, Catcher and Captain of the 1993 Pennant Winning Phillies will be on hand for Relay for Life Night on Friday, May 1st. Daulton, who has just announced that he is cancer free, will be here to support those whose lives have been affected by cancer.

Friday, May 15th is Star Wars Night, when Darth Vader and all his colleagues from the historic film series invade Clipper Magazine Stadium. The first 1,000 fans will get a "Light Saber" as they go through the gate courtesy of Pyrotecnico.

Every child in Lancaster County will want to be at the Barnstormers game on Saturday, May 16th for Dollie & Me Night, sponsored by Kahn Lucas. 1,000 limited edition Barnstormers doll t-shirts will be presented to each child for their dolls. There will even be a special "Dollie & Me" Fashion Show before the game and one lucky winner and a guest will win a trip of a lifetime to New York City to visit the American Girl Place.

Bobby Richardson, the Legendary 2nd Baseman for the great New York Yankee teams of the 1950's and 60's is coming to Lancaster on Sunday, May 17th for the Go Beyond Celebration. Go Beyond is a Lancaster initiative that promotes Community Service projects both here in Lancaster County and abroad. Bobby Richardson is a national leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a much sought-after Christian speaker.

Pennsylvania State Representative Steven Mentzer and former Representative John Bear host one of the most emotional evenings of the season on Thursday, May 21st - the annual "Salute to Veterans" program. WGAL legend, Dick Hoxworth, will emcee a very special pre-game program that honors our veterans and military personnel. Fans in attendance will also receive an American Flag courtesy of Worley & Obetz.

Wrestling Superstar, Rowdy Roddy Piper, will greet his fans at Clipper Magazine Stadium on Friday, May 29th with an appearance presented by Fox's Pizza Den, Lancaster Championship Wrestling and The Comic Store. Piper will be signing autographs and throwing the First Pitch. No word as to whether Rowdy Roddy will be wearing his Scottish Kilt or playing the bagpipes at the game. The first 1,000 fans 16 and older will also receive a Party Cup sponsored by Lanark Records. Wrestlers from Central Pennsylvania will even be competing in matches prior to the game in front of the Stadium.

2015 marks the 250th anniversary of Lancaster County native, Robert Fulton's birth. The Barnstormers are throwing a big birthday party on Saturday, May 30th in honor of Fulton. The first 1,000 fans in attendance that night will receive a commemorative Robert Fulton bobblehead courtesy of Kegel's Produce and the Fulton Steamboat Inn.

"Bark in the Park" presented by Lancaster County Motors, one of the longest standing Barnstormers traditions is slated for Sunday, May 31st. Fans are invited to bring their dogs to take part in the famed "Doggie Parade" before the game. Prizes will be awarded for biggest dog, cutest dog, smallest dog and ugliest dog.

BACHELORETTE WINNER - Josh Murray will be at the Stadium on Friday June 12th to greet his fans in Lancaster County with a special appearance presented by Loxley's. While his romance from the television show may not have worked out, there are rumors that Josh will be the next BACHELOR in 2016! We will also be saluting the KING of Rock & Roll on June 12th in honor of Elvis Presley's 80th Birthday! Elvis music will be played all night long and there will even be a performance by Philly Elvis. To cap off the night, the fireworks will be accompanied by some of Elvis' greatest hits!

Saturday, June 13th is all about BACON, everyone's favorite meat-candy! Fans will be able to enjoy their favorite bacon related foods and there will even be a specially designed Barnstormers Bacon T-Shirt giveaway to the first 1,000 fans 16 and older!

The First Annual Barnstormers' Brewfest comes to Clipper Magazine Stadium on Sunday, June 14th sponsored by the Chameleon Club, Lancaster Brewing Company and Legends Hospitality. Brewfests have become extremely popular over the past decade, but no one thought to hold a Brewfest during a baseball game until Nick Skiadas, owner of the Chameleon, brought the concept to the Barnstormers. Over 40 breweries and 80 different craft beers will be available for the beer lovers of Central Pennsylvania.

The Scouting Community descends on Clipper Magazine Stadium with their tents and back-packs for the Annual Scout Night Sleepover presented by Lancaster Archery Supply on Friday, June 19th. The first 1,000 kids 16 and under will receive a back pack courtesy of Hess's BBQ. Over 700 scouts and their families camped out in the outfield of Clipper Magazine Stadium last year.

New Holland Agriculture, along with Christian Radio Station, WJTL will present the first annual "Faith & Farming Night" on Saturday, June 20th. The concept behind "Faith & Farming" is to bring two wonderful Barnstormers events that are very synergistic together. Expect Christian-based music playing as the annual array of farming equipment is on display for families to explore and enjoy. The first 1,000 fans will also receive an umbrella courtesy of Pepsi.

There will be a focus on nutritious food and exercise on Father's Day, Sunday, June 21st for Lighten Up Lancaster Day with the Barnstormers. Last year, a special pre-game Zumba program for all Barnstormers fans was held on the field. Exercise Stations will be set up all around the concourse for participants to complete. There will also be plenty of Father's Day fun for the dads of Lancaster County!

Schreiber Pediatrics will start their 2015 Campaign for the Rubber Duckie Race at Clipper Magazine Stadium with the first ever Schreiber Pediatrics Helicopter Duck Drop immediately following the Barnstormers' game on Friday, July 3rd. Hundreds of rubber ducks will be dropped from a helicopter onto the outfield grass. Fans will be able to buy special ducks for the helicopter drop as well as purchase ducks for the Rubber Duckie Race in September at Lancaster County Central Park. Proceeds from the duck sale will all be directed to Schreiber Pediatrics. Ducks will be available individually or in specially priced packages. Capital Blue Cross will also be sponsoring a Visor giveaway to the first 1,000 fans 16 and older who attend the game this night.

Lancaster County fireworks lovers will be ready for the Barnstormers' incredible 4th of July "Red, White and BOOM" Fireworks spectacular that will commence immediately following the game on Independence Day, Saturday, July 4th. One of the biggest crowds in Barnstormers' history attended the 2014 July 4th spectacular. The Barnstormers fully expect a similar outpouring of Fireworks fans for 2015. The first 1,000 fans attending this game will go home with a 2015 Team Card Set courtesy of Fox's Pizza Den.

The Scouting Community will return to Clipper Magazine Stadium on Friday, July 17th for a special evening of recognition and outdoor activities. The evening will be sponsored by Lancaster Archery and a Patriotic Baseball Hat will be given to the first 1,000 fans 16 and older.

The first annual Barnstormers Golf Night and Golf Pro Competition is set for Saturday, July 18th. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Jim Furyk Bobblehead presented by Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster. Furyk, widely regarded as the most successful athlete in Lancaster County history, is supporting this special Bobblehead in his likeness to raise funds for the Jim & Tabitha Furyk Foundation.

Another Lancaster County Superstar will be at Clipper Magazine Stadium for the Barnstormers Christmas in July Celebration. Olympian, Johnny Weir, was born and raised in Quarryville and he is very much looking forward to make a special appearance at the Barnstormers game on Friday, July 31st. Johnny is currently NBC's lead skating analyst alongside Tara Lipinski. Johnny and his family have approved a live action Johnny Weir Bobblehead for the first 1,000 fans in attendance.

Charles F Snyder Funeral Homes is presenting a Celebration of Life Night on Saturday, August 1st to honor the "A Week Away Foundation" founded by Lancaster native Caleb Walker. The mission of "A Week Away" is to provide a week of peace in the chaotic lives of families battling a life threatening illness

Saturday, August 1st will also mark the first annual Barnstormers Goat Races before the game. A condensed version of the famous Falmouth Goat Races will be previewed at Clipper Magazine Stadium and some of the finest racing goats will be competing prior to the game.

The Cowboy Monkey Rodeo makes a triumphant return to Clipper Magazine Stadium on Friday, August 14th. Cowboy Tim Lepard brings his famed capuchin monkeys fully dressed in their cowboy attire to ride border collies and lasso sheep and goats. One of the monkeys will also throw the Ceremonial First Pitch. The Cowboy Monkey Rodeo is a spectacle not to be missed. Expect tickets to be scarce for this very special night.

Friday, September 4th is Italian Heritage Night with the Barnstormers, including a special 100th Birthday Salute to the Chairman of the Board, Frank Sinatra. James Young, one of the foremost Frank Sinatra performers on the East Coast will be serenading Barnstormers fans with some of Frank's most famous songs. The first 1,000 fans will also receive the first ever Cylo Garden Gnome, which is sure to be an immediate fan favorite!

Fans have requested that the Barnstormers hold a Car Show at Clipper Magazine Stadium since the franchise came to Lancaster. The Barnstormers are proud to announce the first ever Barnstormers' Car Show, which will be held on Clay Street, adjacent to the Stadium will take place during the game on Saturday, September 5th. A select group of automobiles will be on display in front of the Stadium as well.

Recovery Day returns to Clipper Magazine Stadium on Sunday, September 6th. Last year's program welcomed all of the recovery programs onto the field for a moving program that acknowledged the progress that many of our Lancaster County residents are making. Pitching great, Dwight "Doc" Gooden, has verbally committed to coming to Lancaster for this important event.

Friday September 18th may prove to be the most exciting night of the 2015 Barnstormers season. Youth Football Teams and Cheerleading Groups from around the County will take over Clipper Magazine Stadium and greeting all of the youth groups will be the scintillating Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders! The first 1,000 kids 14 and under will receive a youth jersey courtesy of Wise Foods and the night will end with the thrilling Helicopter Candy Drop where thousands of pieces of candy are dropped onto the outfield for kids attending the game to pick up.

In addition to all of these activities, Friday, September 18th will mark the return of Clownfest to Lancaster County. Hundreds of clowns of all shapes and sizes will be celebrating with the fans all night long. Friday's appearance of the clowns will mark the first night of the Clownfest Convention, which will be held throughout the weekend all over the County.

Fan Appreciation Day is slated for the final game of the regular season, Sunday, September 20th. The Barnstormers players will be at the front gate to greet all of our loyal Barnstormer fans. The players will sign autographs and the program for the day will be focused on thanking our loyal fans for their support.

The 2015 Promotional Schedule also includes an impressive line-up of weekly promotions! They are as follows:

- Mondays: All You Can Eat Hess's BBQ Pig Roast and a Game Ticket for ONLY $20!

- Tuesdays: All You Can Eat Hess's Chicken BBQ and a Game Ticket for ONLY $20!

- Wednesdays: $1 Hatfield Hot Dogs all Game Long! Wing Wednesdays presented by Joe's Famous Wings 'n Wieners (All You Can Eat Wings with Soda and Draft Beer for only $28). Military Wednesdays presented by Station House Tavern.

- Thursdays: BOGO Burger Night! Buy One Burger, Get One Free all Game Long!

- Fridays: $2 Draft Beers from 6:00-8:00; Kids Run the Bases presented by Domino's Pizza.

- Saturdays: FIREWORKS!

- Sunday's: Pre-Game Catch on the Field, Team Autographs, Kids Run the Bases presented by Domino's Pizza.

Additionally, fans can purchase a "Grass Pass" at participating Weis Markets for only $15 to any Friday, Saturday, or Sunday home game during the season. The "Grass Pass" includes a lawn seat to a Barnstormers Fri-Sun home game, a meal voucher good for a hot dog, chips and soda and a limited edition Championship hat.
