Barnstormers Announce Coaches Clinic

DES MOINES - As part of their commitment to be fully involved with anyone who shares the game of football with the youth of our state, the Iowa Barnstormers announced today that the team will hold their first annual Coaches Clinic on Saturday, April 28 at Wells Fargo Arena. Registration for the clinic will begin at 9:00am. The clinic is open to all levels of coaches and will cover a variety of topics. Led by Iowa Barnstormers Head Coach and Director of Football Operations Mike Hohensee the Barnstormers have assembled an elite group of speakers that have established themselves as elite coaches at the youth, high school, college and professional ranks.

Topics for the clinic include, game-day preparation, offensive fundamentals, defensive fundamentals, special teams, and a best drills segment. In addition there will be discussions on developing successful youth programs along with football operations and safety issues. The day will culminate with a coaches social hour before the Barnstormers hit the field at 7:00pm to battle the San Jose SaberCats.

The pre-registration fee for the coaches clinic is $35.00 and includes all clinic lectures, materials and handouts, morning coffee/donuts, lunch, pre-game social refreshments, ticket to the game vs. San Jose and a special coaches gift. Additional coaches from the same organization can pre-register at a cost of $30.00. The day of clinic registration fee is $45.00.
