Barnstormers Add to Defensive Line

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have signed defensive lineman Sayrend Musgrove to the 2024 roster, Head Coach Dave Mogensen announced today.
Musgrove (6'5, 225, Concord University) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his first season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). Collegiately, Musgrove spent four years at Limestone University. During his time with the Saints, Musgrove appeared in 17 games where he tallied 18 total tackles, one tackle for loss, and one sack.
"Sayrend is a great edge prospect, he dominated competition at his college level and was a standout at the Tropical Bowl where he competed against numerous players from bigger college programs, "said Head Coach Mogensen. "He possess all the traits he needs to find success in the IFL and beyond. If he can adjust to this level of competition and the angles of our game, he could be a great weapon along the defensive line."
Musgrove will enter the Barnstormers 2024 Training Camp in the spring.
"I signed with the Barnstormers because they believed in me and gave me this opportunity to continue to chase my passion and prove an underdog can win in the long run," said Musgrove.
