Barnstormers Add More Depth to O-Line

Iowa Barnstormers News Release
Des Moines, Iowa - Iowa Barnstormers Head Coach and Director of Football Operations Mike Hohensee announced late Thursday that OL James Economou has been added to the team's active roster. Economou (6-6, 345) is a three year veteran of the AFL. He began his career with the Milwaukee Mustangs in 2010, before signing with the Cleveland Gladiators for the 2011 season. He re-signed with Cleveland this year, but was released last weekend after being activated from Injured Reserve. The Selden, NY native played college football at Connecticut State from 2006-09 where he was a 3 time All-American, 3 time All-Conference and 2 time All-Region selection. Economou will wear number 75 for the Barnstormers.
Economou will be in the lineup Saturday night when the Barnstormers head to Arizona to battle the Rattlers. Kickoff for Saturday Night's game is 9:00pm. Join us at Bennigan's located at 1810 Army Post Road, for the Barnstormers official game-watch party. Iowa returns home on Saturday, June 30th when the Pittsburgh Power come to town for the Barnstormers 4th annual Military Night presented by Allied. Kickoff is set for 7:05pm.
