Rockford RiverHawks News Release
ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks activated pitcher Joe Barbosa from the 14-day disabled list and placed pitcher Adam Kroft on the DL before Tuesday's game against Mid-Missouri was postponed because of rain.
Barbosa has not pitched since July 3 because of a sore arm. He was named to the Frontier League West all-star team, but did not attend the game. He went on the DL on July 11.
Kroft was hit in the left knee by a line drive off the bat of Mid-Mo's Brian Baker in the sixth inning on Monday. He went on the DL because of a bruised and severely swollen knee.
The RiverHawks are the defending champions of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 13th season. All games are broadcasted live on WRHL-FM, 102.3 - the Hub.
