Rockford IceHogs News Release
Rockford, Ill. - The Rockford IceHogs announced today they will host Bar Olympics on Tuesday, March 7 and the final official Road Watch Party on Friday, March 10 featuring a segment on Hockey 101 at Savoy Lounge (3929 Broadway #14).
At Bar Olympics, fans can take advantage of food and drink specials while also playing a variety of bar games with several IceHogs players. Sign in for the Bar Olympics begins at 6:30 p.m. and fans can test their skills against current IceHogs players in games including billiards, darts and shuffleboard from 7-8:30 p.m. Fans must be ages 21-and-older to enter the bar.
Hockey 101 will highlight the third and final official IceHogs Road Watch Party on March 10 at Savoy Lounge. Fans are invited to attend the party for the chance to win several great door prizes starting at 6:45 p.m. and participate in multiple hockey activities while watching live coverage of the IceHogs road game against the Milwaukee Admirals.
The event is part of Rockford's Hockey 101 initiative, and IceHogs Director of Business Operations and former play-by-play broadcaster Mike Peck will emcee the night's festivities. All fans in attendance will receive Hockey 101 fact sheets and Peck will lead a roundtable discussion on the basics of hockey during the intermissions of the IceHogs game.
Fans can also partake in hockey Bingo for the chance to win prizes, where every square on the Bingo board is an event to watch for in the IceHogs game against Milwaukee.
The Road Watch Party will also feature Sauce Hockey during the first intermission. Peck will again be on-hand to help participants perfect their shooting technique while playing Sauce Hockey. Members of the Mountain Dew Ice Crew will also be in attendance to meet guests and help register fans for prizes.
