WHAT:Bank of America and the Tulsa Drillers are recognizing Marisol Soto-Torres, Jesse Guardiola, Kim Camp and Howard Reed as the 2005 Bank of America Neighborhood Champions. These winners are part of a select group of 356 "Neighborhood Champions" who will be honored around the July 4th weekend at Minor League Baseball stadiums across the country during each team's Bank of America Day celebration.
Hundreds of nominations were submitted in four professional categories - teachers, police officers, firefighters and healthcare workers. Soto-Torres, a healthcare worker from Tulsa, Guardiola, a police officer from Tulsa, Camp, a teacher from Tulsa and Reed a firefighter from Tulsa were chosen as the Drillers' Bank of America Neighborhood Champions and will be recognized in front of family, friends and Drillers fans as they throw out the first pitch of the game after accepting a commemorative plaque.
Teachers, police officers, firefighters and healthcare professionals make a difference in our community everyday when they go above and beyond their call of duty. Bank of America's Neighborhood Champions program offers a way for community members to say thanks to their local heroes.
