St. Louis Bandits News Release
Going 8-1 in January has drawn the Bandits to within four points of the division-leading Texas Tornado with a home-and-away series against them looming this weekend. The Bandits posted two home wins over Fairbanks last week, posting a total team effort as thirteen different players combined to score eight goals in the sweep. Pat Knowlton had a goal and then assisted on the game-winner to lead the scoring in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Ice Dogs, and then Jason Weeks had a goal and added an assist on the game winning goal in Thursday's 3-2 win. Eric Hansen scored both game-winning goals for the Bandits as they took their home record to 16-5-1.
The Bandits 33 points at home this year leads the NAHL.
The Bandits will host the Texas Tornado Friday night in an important matchup at 7:05pm at the Four States Fairgrounds Arena. Tickets are still available at 903 794-7825. They travel to Frisco for a Saturday rematch.
The Bandits will wear a special Army Jersey to honor our servicemen and will auction those jersey's off after Friday night's game. The Tornado (14-6 on the road) will play Thursday night in Springfield, Mo and then travel here for the game Friday night. The Bandits could finish the weekend tied with the Tornado or up to ten points behind them.
