NAHL and Tornado All-Star jerseys now on eBay

NAHL fans can own a piece of the NAHL All-Star Game if they win one of the eBay auctions for the actual game-worn jerseys of the Texas Tornado and the NAHL All-Stars from the February 8 All-Star Game in Frisco, Texas.

Every one of the 21 NAHL All-Star Team and 25 special Tornado All-Star jerseys are now available to the highest bidders exclusively on eBay in 10 day auctions that will end shortly after the All-Star Game. Just go to eBay and search for "NAHL" to see the listings.

You can see the jerseys in person if you attend the NAHL All-Star Festival -- next week's two-day event, which includes the Monday All-Star Skating Party with the rock ‘n' roll group, the Zambonis, and the Tuesday All-Star Game. If you can't come to the All-Star Game, you can listen to it on the radio webcast, which can be accessed here -- on NAHL.com. The webcast will begin Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. Central Standard Time and feature Alex "Cheeks" Kyrias, the voice of the hometown Texas Tornado, and Scott Montesano, the voice of the Fargo-Moorhead Jets, who lead the West Division.

The NAHL All-Star Game features the defending National Junior Champion Texas Tornado against a team of NAHL All-Stars selected by the NAHL coaches. The Tornado continue to lead the NAHL, and are tops in the South Division. Learn more about the Tornado on their official website.

The NAHL All-Star Team will be backstopped by three of the leading netminders in the league -- ANDREW STRICKER of Fargo-Moorhead, JASON KEARNY of the Soo and RILEY GILL of Texarkana. These three along with BEN BISHOP of the Tornado were the league's top four in goals against average at the season's mid-point.

The defense corps features some of the NAHL's standout blueliners. SEAN ERICKSON of the Springfield Spirit and CLAY REHM of Bismarck, BRYAN PLASZCZ of Santa Fe and MIKE MAYRA of Billings are all among the league's top-scoring defensemen. The other two defensemen, MATT SHOUNEYIA of Cleveland and MARK ZARBO of Youngstown, are outstanding all-around defenders who are team leaders on their clubs.

With the high-scoring Tornado having four of the top 20 producers in the league -- BRAD COOPER, TOM TRAIN, KARL SELLAN and NICK MAZZOLINI -- the All-Star Game will boast four of their own. Among the All-Stars who will counter Texas' firepower are PAT LEE of the Springfield Jr. Blues, RYAN HAWKINS of Minnesota, BRANDON MARINO of Helena and PAT GALIVAN of Texarkana -- all in the top 20.

Other All-Star forwards who will test the league-leading Tornado defense include BILL LEAHY of Bozeman, NICK LARSON of Central Texas, JOHN GOEBEL of Cleveland, MIKE PHILLIPICH of Fairbanks and DAIN PREWITT of Fargo-Moorhead, ERIC GIOSA of Toledo, KYLE KRAMER of Wichita Falls and KYLE LAUGHLIN of Youngstown,

The All-Stars will be coached by Youngstown's BOB MAINHARDT and Fargo-Moorhead's TODD KNOTT, who have piloted their teams to first place in the North and West Divisions respectively at the season's mid-point. They will match wits with Texas coach TONY CURTALE, who was last season's NAHL Coach of the Year.

JASON DODD of Wichita Falls was named the All-Star athletic trainer and MARK KULP of the Springfield Spirit was named All-Star equipment manager.

Four top members of the USA Hockey Junior Officiating Development Program will officiate the All-Star Game

Representing the West Division will be referee ADAM HENDREN, 24 years old, and a Las Vegas, Nevada native who in his second season as a full-time official. He resides during the season in Billings, Montana.

Representing the South Division will be referee SHANE WARSHAW and linesmen JEREMI DELCAMPO. Warshaw is 25 years old and a Los Angeles, California native while DelCampo is 26 years old and a Spokane, Washington native. Both are in their second seasons as a full-time officials and both reside during the season in Fort Worth, Texas.

Representing the North Division will be linesmen FRASER McINTYRE who, at 20 years old, is the youngest member of the All-Star officiating crew. The Buffalo, New York native has been a full-time official for two years and also is currently enrolled in college. He has made several appearances in professional hockey in the United Hockey League.
