Baltimore Blast: 1-1. Second place in the Eastern Division. The Blast aim to rebound off of their opening weekend loss to Utica City FC last Sunday.
Utica City FC: 2-0 First place in the Eastern Division. Utica City remains the only undefeated team left in the Eastern Division. Baltimore Players to Watch: The Blast are looking to extend their 12-0 regular season record at SECU arena with another win against division leaders Utica City FC. Midfielder Jonatas Melo, who currently leads the Blast in points scored and is tied for 2nd in points scored in the MASL. Alongside Melo, Tony Donatelli will assist in pulling the strings in the midfield while currently leading the team in and is tied for 2nd in assists through two games.
Defender Adriano Dos Santos is off to a hot start, scoring three goals on all three shots taken, which leads the Blast and ranks 3rd in the MASL. Forwards Vini Dantas and Andrew Hoxie will lead the Blast attack, recording two points each in their first two games of the season.
The Blast will be without Lucas Roque and Daniel Peruzzi as they recover from their knee injuries. The Blast are coached by Head Coach Danny Kelly and Assistant Coach David Bascome. The Competition- Utica City FC Division leaders Utica City FC aim to keep hold of their first place spot as they take on the Baltimore Blast. The Utica City FC frontline are forming a dangerous partnership up top, as forward Joey Tavernese and forward Slavisa Ubiparipovic have combined for 10 points scored through their first two games. Nate Bordeau leads all Utica City midfielders with 3 points scored.
Defender Ben Ramin has also chipped in with 4 points of his own, placing him 1st among all defenders in points scored in the MASL. Darren Toby, 2017-18 ALL MASL 3rd team defender, will assist Ramin in anchoring the backline as he is tied with Ramin for blocked shots among all Utica City FC players. Utica City FC are coached by Head Coach Ryan Hall.
