
Ballers name dance team coach, set tryouts

Benton Harbor, MI. Cleather Nichols, a 1995 Benton Harbor High School graduate has been named coach of the Twin City Angels, the dance team for the Twin City Ballers. Cleather has a bachelor degree from Eastern Michigan University and a Master Degree from Western Michigan University. She was a member of the Benton Harbor Pom Pom team from 1992-1995. Prior to joining the Twin City Ballers, Nichols was the Benton Harbor Charter School Pom Pom coach/choreographer.
The Angels will perform during halftime and timeouts during the Twin City Ballers home games and special events. Nichols said the dance team will do a variety of hip hop, jazz and pom routines.
Nichols also said that she will have tryouts for the team on August 12th at the Bobo Brazil Center in Benton Harbor. Women, ages 18 and older, interested in tryout out should call 269 369 9835. The fee is $25. Participatns should bring a photo of themselves, wear appropriate dance apparel and be prepared to fill out an application form.
