Frenzy's first tryout camp a success

July 24, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Cape Cod Frenzy News Release

Boston, MA. The ABA Cape Cod Frenzy's first open tryout camp was a great success. Held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, the tryouts brought together players from as far away as Philadelphia to match skills with players from the New England area.

The workouts were conducted by Frenzy coaches Angel Robinson Jr. and Heath Teixeira. Players were run through an hour and a half of skill based drills and then scrimmaged against each other. "The level of talent that we saw just in this workout is very encouraging," stated Frenzy GM Ian McCarthy. "We've got a decent core of guys from last year's team and our summer league team, and we're looking forward to getting the best from our tryout camps, and putting them together for our veterans camp."

The Cape Cod Frenzy is now planning for the second of three open tryout camps. The next camp will be held on August 13, 2006 at the Boys Club in New Bedford, Massachusettes. At the door registration begins at 1030am and the workout begins at 1230pm.
