Frenzy win Mass Arts Premiere Pro Exposure League championship

Cape Cod Frenzy News Release


Boston, MA. The ABA's Cape Cod Frenzy defeated Team Winners 147-122 to capture the Championship of the Mass Arts Premiere Pro Exposure League. The Frenzy finished the league in first place with a record of 6-1. A highlight of the summer pro league was the Frenzy's defeat of Boston Celtics forward Ryan Gomes team.

The championship game featured a rematch with the only team to give the Frenzy a loss in the league. The Frenzy got out to an early lead before blowing the game wide open in the third quarter.

Forwards Richard Pittman Jr. and Scott Hazleton were named game Co-MVP's. Pittman scored 40 points and grabbed 9 rebounds while Hazelton had 35 points and 12 assists. Center Modibo Diarra contributed 23 points, 14 rebounds and 6 blocks. Point guard James Hall had 18 points and 13 assists while Korran Rivers and Robert Mitchell each had 12 points for the Frenzy. Team Winners leading scorer, Eddie Allen, had 20 points in a losing effort. The Frenzy was coached by Angel Robinson Jr.
