December 4, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Twin City Ballers News Release

Southwestern, MI. The ABA Twin City Ballers split their games on the opening weekend of December. After winning their first ever road game in Anderson, Indiana 144-139, being led by Quinell Brown with 32 points, Corey Childs with 32 and Derrick McDonald chipping in 7-3's for 31 points, Coach Peter Jackson said, "It feels great getting that monkey off our back winning on the road. It feels good."

And then, it was off to play the winless Peoria Kings on Sunday. "After the win at Anderson," Jackson continued, "I expected our guys to play a lot better than we did." The Ballers got off to a slow start with the Kings leading at halftime 60-55. "We have to learn how to play back-to-back with the same intensity that is what separates all elite teams from the average teams in this league." The Ballers failed to complete the two game sweep with a disappointing 128-111 loss to the Kings.

Ivan Watson finished the game with 25 pionts, Jeremy Wilson added 24 and Philip Gilbert chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds for the Kings. The Ballers were led by Corey Childs who finished with 26, Quinell Brown tallied 22 points and 7 rebounds.

The Ballers will get another chance to complete the weekend sweep Friday night in Anderson where the Ballers will take on the Anderson Champions at the Wigwam in Anderson. Following that game, the Ballers will host the Chicago Rockstars on Sunday at the Farnum Gym in Benton Harbor. Tip off time is 405pm. Tickets can be purchased on line or at the box office on game day. For more information, visit www.twincityballers.com or www.abalive.com.
