Bakersfield Victorious Over the 66ers

BAKERSFIELD - The Bakersfield Jam (14-14) defeated the Tulsa 66ers (15-16) by a score of 102-86 and snapped their four-game losing streak. The Jam finished with a well-balanced attack as seven players scored in double-figures.

The Jam dominated the entire game in particular to their hot shooting from the three-point line as they made 9-of-13 three-pointers in the first half building a 13 point lead heading into the third period (53-40). Bakersfield's momentum from the first half carried over to the second half as they extended their lead by as many as 21 points in the fourth quarter and cruised to a 16 point victory. The Jam never trailed in the game.

Bakersfield was led in scoring by Derrick Byars with 18 points on 4-of-6 shooting from three-point land and dished out 5 assists. Jamie Vanderbeken added 14 points connecting on all four of his three-point attempts and had 7 rebounds. Jeremy Wise had 14 points and 5 assists. Juan Pattillo recorded a double-double off the bench with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Osiris Eldridge and Adrian Thomas each had 13 points and Mustapha Farrakhan contributed 11 points.

Marcus Lewis led the 66ers in scoring with 18 points and adding a game-high 12 rebounds. Larry Owens had 14 points while Jerome Dyson added 10 points. Delroy James contributed 19 points off the bench for Tulsa.

The Bakersfield Jam will again host the Tulsa 66ers tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. PT at the Jam Events Center.
