North Little Rock, AR - The Arkansas Travelers were blanked 3-0 by the Springfield Cardinals on Saturday night at Dickey-Stephens Park in front of a season-high 8.478 fans.

Springfield scored an unearned run in the third, a run on a bases loaded walk in the fifth and one in the eighth.

Each of Arkansas' five hits were singles and the Travs only had a base runner advance past first once in the game.

Springfield starter RHP Corey Baker (W, 1-0) worked a season-high 6.1 innings and allowed just four hits with no walks and six strikeouts.

10 of the final 13 Travs to come to the plate struck out.

LHP Corey Littrell, RHP Kurt Heyer and RHP Ronnie Shaban (S, 4) combined on the shutout and the Cardinals struck out 13 total Travs without walking a batter.

LF Bo Way and 1B Eric Aguilera both registered two hits for Arkansas.

Travs pitchers walked eight batters combined.

The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for Arkansas.

With the loss, the Travs fell to a game behind the Cardinals in the Texas League North division. The two teams will play the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Dickey-Stephens Park. First pitch is scheduled for 2:10 p.m.
