Des Moines, IA February 7, 2014 - The Iowa Energy host the Erie BayHawks this Saturday at 7pm. The game features a number of promotions for fans of all ages.
The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive a free Iowa Energy drawstring backpack. Arena doors open at 6pm. At halftime, the Chicago Boyz Acrobats will perform for the fans. They have been on America's Got Talent and performed at Energy games in the past. And, like every Saturday Energy game, $2 beer will flow from 6pm through the end of the 1st quarter.
Former Iowa Hawkeye Ricky Davis is averaging 12.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game for Erie.
The Energy welcomed back two starters on Thursday. Guard Othyus Jeffers, who returns from a NBA stint with the San Antonio Spurs, and Jarvis Varnado, coming back from an injury, both returned to the starting lineup for Iowa against Sioux Falls. Jeffers had a near triple-double with 20 points, 10 assists, and 7 boards. Varnado finished with 18 points and 9 rebounds.
