
Rockets Re-Assign Robert Covington to NBA D-League's Rio Grand Valley Vipers

HOUSTON - Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey announced that the team re-assigned forward Robert Covington to Houston's single-affiliation NBA D-League partner Rio Grande Valley.
Covington (6-9, 215, Tennessee State), who has appeared in five games with the Rockets in 2013-14, has averaged 21.0 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.48 steals and 1.33 blocks in 21 games (21 starts) with Rio Grande Valley this season. At the time of his recall, Covington stood 10th in the D-League in scoring (21.0) and second in the league in steals per game (2.48). Covington was recently named to the NBA D-League All-Star Game, which will be played on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Sprint Arena inside NBA All-Star Jam Session at New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
