This Week:

Wednesday, August 30th: Condors player Scott Borders and Condors Mascot Baby Cal will travel to Taft with Goodwill Industries for the Condors Care-A-Van. This pit- stop will include lunch with the Kern Valley Rotary Club at 12pm. From clothing and toys to furniture, donations of any kind will be accepted. If your organization or company is interested in being a pit- stop for the Condors Care-A-Van contact the Condors Community Relations department at (661) 324-PUCK (7825).

Week in Review:

Wednesday, August 23rd: Condors community relations manager Jill Watts attended the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's dinner to celebrate the fourth annual Dream Home Giveaway. More than 2.1 million dollars was raised for the St. Jude Research hospital in Memphis, TN. The Condors donated four terrace level season tickets valued at $1,400.

Thursday, August 24th: Condors player Kevin Truelson "Dunked for Dollars" to help raise money for the American Heart Association. The Condors participated with KGET-TV 17 to help get the community to donate money.

Friday, August 25th: Condors player Andrew Ianiero took his turn in the dunk tank Friday to help collect donations for the American Heart Association. Participants including the Condors and local fire stations joined together to help raise more than $1,500.

Saturday, September 9th: Members of the Condors front office staff will participate in the annual Day of Caring hosted by United Way of Kern. The Condors will volunteer their assistance to local non-profit organizations as they help complete their projects. Projects range from client outings and planting flowers to painting. To get involved with this "Day of Caring" call Megan Beeman with the United Way of Kern County at 834-1382.

Saturday, September 9th: Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd will attend the H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection of Kern County's "Aloha Hula Luau" at Shriner's Noble Park. The event is held for children with Special Needs and their immediate families. Partygoers are encouraged to wear their favorite island costume to enter in the costume contest. Just for Kids:

The Bakersfield Condors are offering an Early Bird Special for 2006-2007 Condors Kids Club membership. From now until September 1st, Condors fans age 12 and under can join the coolest club in town for only $15! Membership runs from September 1, 2006 to May 31, 2007. Special activities allow for ONE- OF-A-KIND opportunities to meet Condors players, coaches and mascots Colonel Claw'd and Baby Cal. Membership includes a Kid's Club t-shirt, exclusive gifts provided by the Bakersfield Californian, Brighthouse Networks and Wells Fargo bank, and tickets to these six games:
