POSTPONED: Saturday's game was postponed due to inclement weather. This was the first game in 2013 where the B-Mets have been postponed.

LAST GAME: The B-Mets scored eight runs in the first two innings en route to an 8-4, rain-shortened victory over Harrisburg Friday night. Two-run home runs from Danny Muno and Allan Dykstra highlighted the offense for Binghamton as they scored all eight runs in the first two innings. On the mound, Erik Goeddel earned the win after giving up four runs in five innings on the mound. With two outs in the top of the seventh inning, the game was called due to rain.

GAME 1 STARTING PITCHERS:

LHP Mark Cohoon makes his third start for the B-Mets in 2013, and his seventh appearance overall. He earned the win against Harrisburg in his last start on 5/5, where he threw five shutout innings allowing only four hits. He also struck out a season-high eight hitters in the eventual 6-1 Binghamton victory. Now in his fourth season as a B-Met, Cohoon has won each of his three decisions this year. Before entering the rotation, he gave up five earned runs in four bullpen appearances.

RHP Taylor Jordan makes his Double-A debut on the mound today for the Senators. He was promoted to Harrisburg after six starts with the Potomac Nationals where he went 2-1 with a 1.24 ERA. In 36.1 innings on the mound, Jordan struck out 29 and only walked one. Opponents hit .228 against the Merrit Island, FL native. Taylor was drafted in the ninth round of the 2009 draft by the Nationals out of Brevard Community College.

GAME 2 STARTING PITCHERS:

RHP Cory Mazzoni makes his third start of the season for the B-Mets. His last start was his first since missing 24 games on the DL (R Elbow Neuritis). In the game, he was tagged with the loss and lasted only 3.0 innings. He gave up five runs on seven base hits. In 2012, Mazzoni went 5-5 with a 4.46 ERA in 14 starts with Binghamton.

RHP Nathan Karns makes his seventh start of the season, and his first against the Binghamton Mets. After getting roughed up in his first start of the season, he has allowed one of fewer earned runs in each of his last five starts. In his last start he was credited with the win against Altoona. He threw five innings, allowed one earned run on two hits, and struck out five.

LETS PLAY TWO: This is the first doubleheader that the B-Mets have played in 2013. In 2012, Binghamton went 2-1-2 in those doubleheaders. Each game will only be seven innings.

KEEP IT IN THE PARK: The Binghamton pitching staff has not allowed a home run in the last eight games. Their last home run against came in the seventh inning against Erie on 5/2 off of Logan Verrett. On the year, Binghamton has given up 22 round-trippers.

A RARE TRIPLE: In the second inning on Friday, Darrell Ceciliani hit a two-run triple to give Binghamton a 5-1 lead. That three-bagger was the first triple for the B-Mets since 5/1 v ERI. Binghamton has nine triples on the season, and Ceciliani leads the team with three.

POSITIVE 'PEN: The combination of Adam Kolarek and Jack Leathersich put together 1.2 innings of shutout baseball is Friday's win. The bullpen has allowed just three earned runs over the last eight games, and have posted a 1.27 ERA during that stretch.

NEXT GAME PREVIEW: The B-Mets continue their seven-game homestand with a three game series against the Akron Aeros. Game one of the series is Monday night at 6:35 PM. RHP Rafael Montero is scheduled to pitch for Binghamton against LHP Matt Packer for Akron. The B-Mets are 4-3 against the Aeros so far in 2013.
