LAST GAMES: The Binghamton Mets split a doubleheader with Richmond Wednesday at NYSEG Stadium. Binghamton won the first game, 7-4, scoring all of their runs in the first two innings. TJ Rivera had three hits and matched a season-high with three RBI. LJ Mazzilli had two more hits, on the heels of a four-hit game prior, and Robert Gsellman notched his fifth win in his last seven starts. Paul Sewald notched his 21st save.

Binghamton didn't save any offense for game two, falling, 2-1 against Richmond in the nightcap. The B-Mets were held to four hits, leaving the bases loaded in the sixth. Vince Belnome drove in the lone run, as Rainy Lara was saddled with the loss. Thursday's finale was rained out.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Gabriel Ynoa gets the ball for Binghamton in the series opener. It's his 22nd start of the year, most on the team, and fourth against New Hampshire. He's 2-1 with a 4.67 in the three starts against the Fisher Cats, with his last being two month ago. More recently, Ynoa is coming off a loss against New Britain, where he allowed five runs and 10 hits in five innings. It was the second time in three starts that he surrendered 10 hits. The five runs allowed were the same total has his previous three starts combined, and the most in 11 outings.  

NEW HAMPSHIRE STARTER: LHP Scott Barnes gets the nod for New Hampshire in the series opener. He is making his 29th appearance and fifth start, all consecutively. He has made three relief appearances against Binghamton, pitching a combined two scoreless innings. Most recently, he allowed four runs and five hits in three innings against Erie for the loss. He has lost three consecutive starts, allowing three runs or more in all three. He has a 4.74 ERA as a starter. He has one win since May 22nd.

FAMILIAR FOE: Friday begins a stretch of eight games against the Fisher Cats in the next 10 days, including a doubleheader. The two teams are playing for the first time in two months. Binghamton is 6-8 against New Hampshire this year, losing three of the last four. This is Binghamton's last trip to New Hampshire, where they are 2-5.

LEFTY: Friday will be Binghamton's third consecutive start against a lefty starter. They have faced a southpaw in seven of their last 12 games, and are set to deal with Luis Perez Saturday. Binghamton is batting .259 against lefties and .255 against righties.

SERIES: Binghamton has lost just two of their last 12 series, going 7-2-3. Binghamton is coming of a split with Richmond in a series that was cut to two games.

G0000MEZ: Gilbert Gomez has gone hitless in his last 12 games. He has not registered a hit since July 29th, going 0-for-16 in his last 12 games. He is 1-for-21 since July 19th. Gomez is 0-for-10 as a pinch-hitter.

K-ROD: Josh Rodriguez is hitless in last 15 at-bats, with seven of them ending in strikeout. Rodriguez has still gotten on base, drawing eight walks and getting hit by a pitch over his last five games. He has not played since last Tuesday (August 11th) due to Injury.

STRIKEOUT STRUGGLES: Jonathan Galvez has struck out in eight of his last 15 at-bats, while managing two hits. He has struck out three times in two of his last three starts.

KING WITHOUT A CROWN: Jared King is 1-for-14 since a season-high seven-game hitting streak. He is still batting .300 in 15 August games.

NEXT GAME PREVIEW: The B-Mets continue their series with the Fisher Cats with a doubleheader Saturday, beginning at 6:05 PM. It's the second of three B-Met doubleheaders in a weeks span. RHP Tyler Pill gets the ball in game one.
