Binghamton Rumble Ponies News Release

For the second consecutive season, BC Transit, Botnick Chevrolet and the Binghamton Mets have combined forces to provide a shuttle service for fans at select Binghamton Mets fireworks games. This service, underwritten by a pair of Binghamton-based companies (Botnick Chevrolet & the B-Mets), will be FREE to the riding public and will allow fans to park at various locations in the downtown Binghamton business district and catch a BC Transit bus to the game. Toward the end of the game and afterward, the free bus will bring fans back downtown to their vehicles.

Fans are encouraged to make an evening of their visit to the heart of Greater Binghamton by frequenting downtown restaurants, taverns and special events both before and after B-Mets fireworks games. Starting June 1st, the BC Transit downtown-NYSEG Stadium bus will commence service and will be available at all of the remaining B-Mets fireworks games except July 4th & September 2nd when BC Transit does not operate.

"There are a lot of fun things downtown now that the temperatures have warmed up. Friday night home games mean fireworks, but Fridays also feature the downtown Live at 5 and First Friday Art Walks. The Botnick Chevrolet Free Fireworks Bus will allow fans to do it all very conveniently," said B-Mets general manager Scott Brown.

The B-Mets loop will bring fans from downtown to the front of NYSEG Stadium at the corner of Henry & Fayette streets starting at 6 o'clock for the 7:05 pm games. The route will include three stops in the Binghamton business district, all in close proximity to the elevated parking ramps. The stops will include the following: 1) Collier Street parking ramp at the corner of Hawley & State streets, 2) Water Street parking ramp (Boscov's), & 3) State Street parking ramp/ Metrocenter parking lot at the corner of State & Henry streets. The bus, featuring BC Transit advertiser and fireworks bus sponsor Botnick Chevrolet, will transport fans from the front of the ballpark back to the three parking stops until all patrons are accommodated.

The Botnick Cevrolet Free Fireworks Bus will be in service on the following 16 dates: June 1, 22, 23, 26, 29; July 6, 20, 21, 27, 28, 31; August 2, 9, 17, 28, 31.
