San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO - The Colorado Avalanche announced today that forward Rocco Grimaldi and defenseman Duncan Siemens have been recalled from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL). This is the second career call-up to the Avalanche for both players, marking Colorado's 19th and 20th recall from San Antonio this season. During their time in Colorado, Grimaldi and Siemens will join former Rampage players J.T. Compher, Anton Lindholm, Cody Goloubef, Calvin Pickard, Nikita Zadorov, Jeremy Smith, and Mikko Rantanen on the ice.
Grimaldi, 24, leads all Rampage scorers this season with 29 goals and 51 points in 68 contests. Grimaldi's goal count is the highest for any San Antonio skater since Brett MacLean who recorded 30 goals in the 2009-10 season. The three-year pro is one goal shy of becoming the fifth skater in Rampage history to record a 30-plus goal season.
Siemens, 23, will suit up for the Avalanche for the first time since he made his NHL debut against the Chicago Blackhawks on April 11, 2015. The Sherwood Park, Alta. native has skated in 69 games with the Rampage this season, collecting two goals and four assists.
San Antonio begins a two-game road trip at 6 p.m. CT on Tuesday when the team visits the Charlotte Checkers at the Bojangles' Coliseum. All Rampage games can be heard on Ticket 760 and SARampage.com . Individual tickets are available and can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at SARampage.com . The 2016-17 season is presented by Wells Fargo.
