November 16, 2016 - American Hockey League (AHL)
San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO- The Colorado Avalanche announced today that forward A.J. Greer has been recalled from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).
Greer, 19, leads all AHL rookies with nine assists and 14 points. The Rampage forward made his NHL debut with the Colorado Avalanche on Nov. 13 against the Boston Bruins, logging 16:34 of ice time, including two minutes of Colorado's 2:09 on the power play. Greer spent last season with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in the QMJHL and registered 27 points in 33 games.
Greer's second recall to the NHL serves as the Avalanche's third recall from San Antonio this season.
"This will be my first road trip in the NHL so I'm excited to learn from the older guys and play," said Greer. "Even if my first game is behind me, being in the NHL is a dream come true and stepping on that ice with players who I grew up watching and some of the world's best, is a blessing and really a dream come true."
San Antonio returns to the AT&T Center for their first Bud Light $1 Drink Night, presented by 99.5 KISS, as the Charlotte Checkers visit the Alamo City on Friday for a 7:30 p.m. puck drop. All Rampage games can be heard on Ticket 760 and SARampage.com. Individual and season tickets are available and can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at SARampage.com. The 2016-17 season is presented by Wells Fargo.
