New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
MANCHESTER, NH - This evening Mayor Gatsas; Andy Crews, President of AutoFair; Superintendent Thomas Brennan and Rick Brenner, President of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, stood by while selected Manchester students from the AutoFair "Make the Grade" contest were given a key and a chance to start the grand prize, a 2012 Hyundai Accent. The giveaway took place during the pre-game show at the Fisher Cats game at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
Eunice Adekoya, a senior from Manchester High School West, picked the winning key and drove away with a new car. "I am so excited. It just goes to show if you work hard in school it really does pay off," stated grand prize winner Eunice, who will be attending Kent State University in Ohio this fall.
Andy Crews, President of AutoFair, commented, "'Make the Grade' offers students the opportunity to win a brand new vehicle as an incentive to excel academically. By motivating today's students to maximize their education, we're setting up our community of tomorrow for success. AutoFair is proud to take part in building a brighter future."
"The Fisher Cats are proud to be part of the 'Make the Grade' program with AutoFair and the City of Manchester," said Fisher Cats president Rick Brenner. "We congratulate AutoFair on developing such a unique way to motivate and reward some of the best and brightest students in our city's schools."
"Make the Grade" is a public-private partnership between the City of Manchester, AutoFair and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. This program is a shared effort to recognize academic achievements and enhance community commitment from corporate partners.
