
Austin Spurs Host Affiliate and Scout Nights this Weekend

AUSTIN (December 3, 2014) - The Austin Spurs presented by SWBC will tip off December with back-to-back games this Friday and Saturday at the Cedar Park Center. Tipoff for both games is 7:30 p.m.
On Friday, December 5, the team will host San Antonio Spurs Affiliate Night presented by Texas Descon. Fans can take pictures with a NBA Championship trophy, the Coyote and Silver Dancers. The Silver Dancers will also perform during the game. The Austin Spurs take on the Utah Jazz affiliate Idaho Stampede.
The team will face Oklahoma City Thunder affiliate OKC Blue on Saturday, Dec. 6 when the team hosts Scout Night presented by ScoutsView - a social network for young athletes. Scouts attending the game can attend a pregame Austin Spurs basketball clinic and receive a Boy Scout patch. Former NFL running back LaDainian Tomlinson will speak to youth at 6 p.m. Tomlinson earned the NFL MVP Award in 2006, and is a five-time NFL Pro Bowl selection who led the league in rushing yards in 2006 and 2007.
Austin Spurs players will wear a custom jersey with the ScoutsView logo on Saturday night. The jerseys will be auctioned postgame with all proceeds benefitting the ScoutsView truancy program.
