(CEDAR PARK, TEXAS - JAN. 22, 2015) - Orlando Johnson posted a team-high 23 points and San Antonio assignee Kyle Anderson recorded a double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds, but the Austin Spurs (16-8) fell short to the Texas Legends (13-10) by a 113-110 final score Thursday night at the SWBC Court at Cedar Park Center.
The game marked Anderson's second appearance for Austin this season. Erik Murphy notched a double-double (20 points, 11 rebounds). Also in double figure scoring for Austin were Bryce Cotton with 21 points and Jonathan Simmons with 16 points.
The game featured three lead changes and nine ties. The Spurs trailed 92-85 entering the fourth quarter. Despite gaining a lead in the final minutes, Austin fell short in the final period.
Leading the Legends with double-doubles were Damion James with 21 points and 10 rebounds and Renaldo Balkman with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Also in double figure scoring for Texas were Dallas Mavericks assignee Ricky Ledo with 23, Doron Lamb with 18, and Eric Griffin with 14. Ledo added a game-high eight assists.
