AUSTIN - The Austin Spurs (6-7) dropped a 121-103 decision to the Texas Legends (8-5) on Wednesday evening at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.

Sir'Jabari Rice led the Spurs with 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. While on assignment with Austin, Sidy Cissoko finished with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists while RaiQuan Gray chipped in 14 points.

Texas jumped out to a 34-15 lead to start the game, as Theo Pinson scored 12 points in the first frame. Austin answered back in the second period as Gray scored 10 points to help cut the deficit down to six at the break, 56-49. Both teams battled it out in the third quarter, but the Spurs outscored the Legends (26-23) to trail by three, 78-75.Austin would come within two in the final frame, but Jordan Walker's 18 points in the period alone would seal a Texas win.

Pinson led the Legends with 25 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field and 6-of-8 from the three. Walker tallied 24 points while Justin Jackson finished with a final stat line of 16 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists for Texas.

NEXT UP

The Silver and Black return to the court on Friday, Feb. 2 to host the Stockton Kings in an offsite home game in Laredo at 7 p.m. CT at the Sames Auto Arena. The game will be available to watch on Tubi.
