Cedar Park, TX January 11 - A buzzer beater launches the Austin Spurs past the Reno Bighorns 149-146 at the SWBC Court at Cedar Park Center Sunday night.

In a back-and-forth first quarter, the score was tied at 17 with 6:29 to play. Following the timeout, Austin went on a 9-2 run to establish a lead. The quarter ended with an Adreian Payne shot block and pass ahead to Orlando Johnson for the lay up at the buzzer to give Austin a 41-35 advantage.

Jonathan Simmons' flagrant foul with 6:21 left in the second switched the momentum, but Austin's lead never slipped to single digits. Josh Davis' 12 points in the period and a pair of buckets by Bryce Cotton down the stretch put Austin on top 79-64 at halftime.

Austin extended their lead in the third over the Bighorns, with Bryce Cotton leading the way with 11 points, going 2-3 from behind the arc. With three-point plays from both Johnson and Cotton, the Austin Spurs added another high scoring quarter (42) entering the fourth with a 121-102 advantage.

Hot shooting helped Reno claw back into the game, starting the fourth quarter with a 36-12 run and claiming a 138-133 lead at the 2-minute mark. Austin fought back to tie the score at 140 a piece with 1:00 remaining. Reno's Tajuan Porter nailed a three-pointer to tie the score at 146 with 3.2 seconds left. Austin's Simmons responded with a three-pointer as time expired, lifting Austin over the Bighorns 149-146.

JaMychal Green (31 points, 12 rebounds) and Bryce Cotton (30 points, 6 assists) paved the way for Austin, while Josh Davis (20 rebounds, 11 rebounds) contributed a double-double. Quincy Miller's 36 points and 12 rebounds led Reno's charge.

The Austin Spurs (15-6) travel to Santa Cruz to take on the Grand Rapids Drive Thursday, January 15th at 2:45pm. The Bighorns (8-11) head to Fort Wayne to face the Mad Ants Tuesday, January 13th at 4:00pm.
