Austin Claims Victory Over Rip City, 111-102

AUSTIN - The Austin Spurs (17-13) defeated the Rip City Remix (18-13), 111-102, on Saturday night at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.

Two-Way forward RaiQuan Gray led the way for Austin with 27 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the field to go along with 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Two-Way guards David Duke Jr. followed with 20 points while Jamaree Bouyea recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

The Spurs started the contest off strong as they scored 14 of their points in the paint to close the first quarter ahead, 31-23. The Remix answered back in the second frame as they shot 60.0% from beyond the arc to give them a 60-54 halftime lead. Taze Moore finished the first half with 17 points for Rip City while Gray scored 15 for Austin. The Spurs would close the gap in the third period to outscore the Remix, 26-22, cutting the deficit to two, 82-80. The Silver and Black would open the final frame on a 15-4 run that featured 11 points from Duke Jr. in the quarter alone to help Austin seal the victory.

Moore led the Remix with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Justin Minaya scored 19 points while Jazian Gortman finished with 17 points and 9 rebounds for Rip City.

The Spurs will complete the weekend series against the Remix tomorrow at 4 p.m. CT at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. The game will be available to watch on Bally Southwest and ESPN+.
