
Austin Bold FC to Host San Antonio FC on March 30 in Inaugural Home Match

AUSTIN, Texas - Austin Bold FC will host Texas rival San Antonio FC in the first-ever home match at Bold Stadium on Saturday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m. With roughly 70 miles separating the two clubs, the stage is set for a classic rivalry.
"The announcement of the home opener at Bold Stadium is another huge milestone for our club and the Austin community," said Austin Bold FC General Manager Roberto Silva. "We are excited to share the first soccer-specific stadium in Central Texas and to be facing San Antonio makes it even more special."
ABFC's 2019 USL Championship regular season schedule will begin on the road with an opening day match against Las Vegas Lights FC on Saturday, March 9. The remainder of the 2019 USL Championship schedule and kick-off times will be announced at a later date.

On Oct. 24, the club broke ground on Bold Stadium, a 5,036-seat soccer-specific stadium to be located adjacent to the Grand Plaza at Circuit of The Americas (COTA), the premier destination for entertainment and motorsports in the United States. The stadium is the first soccer-specific stadium built in Central Texas and has been engineered to provide an outstanding experience for both fans and players ahead of the Bold's inaugural Spring 2019 season.
Austin Bold FC has announced a total of 13 players (Faris Abdi, Xavier Báez, Edson Braafheid, DarÃo Conca, Thomas de Villardi, Kléber Gladiator, Sonny Guadarrama, Promise Isaac, Sean McFarlane, Marcelo Saragosa, Valeri Saramutin, Kris Tyrpak, London Woodberry) for the 2019 inaugural season. The club will announce additional player signings in the coming weeks.
