Austin Bold FC Announces 2020 Season Schedule

January 9, 2020 - United Soccer League Championship (USL) - Austin Bold FC News Release

AUSTIN, TX - Austin Bold FC announced today their 2020 USL Championship regular-season schedule. The Bold will kickoff their sophomore season with two home matches in March. On Saturday, March 7, The Bold will host New Mexico United at Bold Stadium for the 2020 Home Opener and Reno 1868 FC on Saturday, March 21.

The Bold welcomes local Central Texas rivals San Antonio FC to Bold Stadium on Sunday, May 3. The last two visits from Bold's I-35 neighbors ended with two wins for Head Coach Marcelo Serrano. Bold Stadium will also host West Texas club El Paso Locomotive FC on Saturday, June 20, in Bold's attempt to retain the Copa Tejas; a supporter trophy awarded to the best USL Championship team in Texas.

Austin Bold FC hosts Phoenix Rising FC on Wednesday, July 8, at Bold Stadium. After Rising FC knocked The Bold out of the 2019 USL Championship Playoffs, The Bold will look to get revenge in 2020.

As part of the new rights agreement reached between the USL and ESPN this past August, the Championship will have Spanish-language coverage on ESPN Deportes. Austin Bold FC's road match against New Mexico United on July 17 will broadcast nationally on ESPN Deportes.

Austin Bold FC will play 34 matches in 2020, playing every Western Conference team twice - once at home and once on the road. The Bold will host 10 Saturday matches, four Sunday matches, two Wednesday matches, and one Friday match at Bold Stadium throughout the season. Kickoff times for 2020 home and away matches will be announced at a later date.
