As previously announced, the 2020 season will begin on the road for Lights FC with a nationally televised (ESPNews) match against expansion franchise San Diego Loyal SC on Saturday, March 7. Las Vegas will host their home opener a week later versus Sacramento Republic FC on March 14.
The Silver State Cup versus Reno 1868 FC resumes six games into the season on April 4 in Reno, with the second match being played at Cashman Field on September 26. Las Vegas is looking to take away the state's supremacy from their neighbors up north after 1868 FC has kept the trophy in the first two years of the rivalry.
Real Monarchs SLC, defending USL Championship Final winners, will visit Cashman Field on Saturday, May 2, with Las Vegas making the trip to Herriman, Utah on September 12. Phoenix Rising FC, USL Championship regular season title holders in 2019, will be in Las Vegas on Wednesday, September 6 for Lights FC's lone mid-week regular season home game. The second duel is scheduled less than a month later at the Phoenix Rising FC Soccer Complex on Friday, October 9.
Lights FC averaged 7,711 fans per game at Cashman Field during the 2019 USL Championship season, ranking third best in the Western Conference.
Landon Donovan and San Diego Loyal SC will visit Las Vegas on August 22, while the last regular season match at Cashman Field for Lights FC will be against El Paso Locomotive FC on October 3rd.
Twenty days is the longest length of time that Lights FC will go without a home match this season (three times), with Las Vegas hosting back to back home games in an 8-day span a total of four times in 2019. All but one Lights FC match at Cashman Field will be on a Saturday night, with the lone exception being a Wednesday game against Phoenix Rising FC on September 16.
