Augusta GreenJackets vs. Kannapolis Intimidators Game Postponed

AUGUSTA, GA: Monday, July 6th game consisting of the Augusta GreenJackets (40-40) and the Kannapolis Intimidators (39-40) has been postponed due to field conditions after a lengthy rain storm that hit the playing field at Lake Olmstead Stadium around 6:40PM. The Augusta GreenJackets grounds crew and staff pulled the tarp off the field at approximately 7:50PM and began working to prepare the field for the night's game. After an inspection from the umpire crew and both club's managers the decision was made to postpone Monday's game until Tuesday afternoon.
The GreenJackets and Intimidators were already scheduled for a 12:05pm day game start time. Now, both teams will be participating in a doubleheader with game one starting at 12:05pm and the game two starting approximately thirty minutes after the first game has concluded. Both games will be played at a length of seven innings.
Before the game the GreenJackets invite all summer camps, day cares, playgrounds, and recreational centers to Catch The Buzz at Lake Olmstead Stadium during the annual Super Splash Day. Each camper will receive a general admission or reserved seat ticket, a group recognition, opportunity to purchase a food voucher, and afternoon of super splashing fun! Everyone goes BOGO for the SweetWater BOGO Bevs Tuesdays. Guests can enjoy two for one pricing on soft drinks and draft beers throughout the ball game.
The meeting starts at 12:05pm for Business Person's special early Tuesday afternoon. Come spend your lunch break with the GreenJackets while catching a ball game. Guests will have a choice of a 90-minute buffet or a food voucher.
