Augusta, GA - After a smooth first inning, Craig Clark's night got pretty rough in a hurry. Clark was touched up for six runs in five innings as his Augusta GreenJackets dropped a 7-2 decision to the Asheville Tourists on Saturday night.

Clark retired the first five hitters of the game before running into trouble with two outs in the second. Orlando Sandoval doubled and then scored on Avery Barnes' triple to put the Tourists on the board. Dallas Tarleton's single scored Barnes to push the Asheville advantage to two.

Things didn't get any better in the third as the Tourists rattled off four more hits in a row and scored twice more on an RBI double from Nolan Arenado and a Sandoval run-scoring single. Clark stranded the bases full in the third but was touched up again in the fifth on Sandoval's two-run homer to make it a 6-0 game. Clark (2-3) allowed six runs on nine hits in five innings. He didn't walk anyone and the lefty struck out three.

Asheville added a run on a bases-loaded walk to Joey Wong in the seventh inning before the GreenJackets cracked the scoreboard. Ryan Lollis' RBI double scored a run and with two on and two outs, Evan Crawford brought home another with an RBI single. Lollis was thrown out at the plate to end the inning and prevent the Asheville lead from shrinking further. The Jackets stranded a pair of runners in the eighth and were retired in order in the ninth inning.

Tyler Matzek (5-1) departed after six no-hit innings. The lefty - a winner in his last two starts - walked five and struck out seven while holding the Jackets scoreless.

The GreenJackets have now dropped five of their last seven games and their last two in a row. Andy Reichard (2-0, 3.67) takes the mound to face Jonathan Vargas (4-8, 7.20). First pitch will come at 7:05 p.m. with the pregame action beginning at 6:50 p.m. on WRDW AM 1630, www.greenjacketsbaseball.com and www.wrdwam.com.
