MAHONING VALLEY: The Scrappers are 31-27 and lead the Pinckney Division by 3.0 games over Williamsport ... Mahoning Valley is 5th in the New York-Penn League in average (.245), 4th in runs (211), 2nd in hits (397) and lead the league with 185 walks (Vermont 2nd with 182 walks) ... Scrapper pitchers are 3rd in ERA (2.97), tied for 1st in shutouts (7) and 4th in strikeouts (381).

3 STREAKIN: Francisco Soriano was 2-for-5 Thursday to extend current hitting streak to a team-high 11 straight games ... Soriano is hitting .400 (18x45) during 11-game hit streak to raise average from .268 to .327 ... J.R. Higley has hit in 8 straight games (15-for-33, .455), while Sandy Leon has a 7-game hitting streak (11-for-26, .423).

VS. PINCKNEY: The Lake Monsters are in a stretch of 15 games against the Pinckney Division (3-game series against each team except Williamsport) through August 21st ...
