State College Spikes News Release
STATE COLLEGE, PA --- The State College Spikes today announced that the first pitch time for their Saturday, August 29 home game at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park against the Williamsport Crosscutters (Philadelphia Phillies) has been moved from 7:05 p.m. to 1 p.m. The change was made in order to avoid a conflict for Spikes fans planning to attend the 7:30 p.m. Taylor Swift concert event at the neighboring Bryce Jordan Center.
As an incentive for fans interested in enjoying both events on August 29, the Spikes will offer any fan who shows their Taylor Swift ticket in person at the Spikes Ticket Office a $3 Outfield Bleacher ticket or $2 off any Diamond Club, Field Box, Bullpen Box or All-You-Can Eat ticket. Fans can take advantage of this offer at any time between now and August 29.
Fans attending the Spikes' August 29 contest will also be able to enjoy a Scratch 'n' Win Saturday, as all fans will win either Spikes prizes or discounts. One lucky fan will win the grand prize of a 2010 Spikes season ticket. The first 1,500 fans through the gates will also take home a Spikes' Fleece Blanket presented by the Central Pennsylvania Convention and Visitors Bureau.
In addition, Spikes players will be present at the second Pre-Game Team Autograph Session of the year, and kids can run the bases after the game. College students from Penn State and elsewhere will also be able to take advantage of the Student 3-2-1 Special, with tickets available at $3 off, plus $2 sodas and $1 hot dogs all game long for students who present a valid college ID.
For additional information or to purchase Spikes tickets, fans can call the Spikes Ticket Office toll-free at 877-99-SPIKES or log on to StateCollegeSpikes.com.
