Lynx Notes

Sylvia Fowles finished the night with a game-high 29 points, 20 rebounds, four steals and three blocks, becoming the first player in WNBA history to collect 20+ points, 20+ rebounds, 3+ steals and 3+ blocks in a single game.

Fowles' 20 rebounds ties the club single-game record she shares with Rebekkah Brunson:

20 - Sylvia Fowles, 8/24/2021 vs. Seattle

20 - Rebekkah Brunson, 8/28/2012 vs. San Antonio

20 - Sylvia Fowles, 5/23/2018 vs. Dallas

In addition, Fowles' 17 defensive rebounds are also a franchise single-game record:

17 - Sylvia Fowles, 8/24/2021 vs. Seattle

16 - Sylvia Fowles, 8/9/2018 at Las Vegas

16 - Sylvia Fowles, 7/26/2020 vs. Connecticut (in Bradenton)

In the first half of tonight's contest, Fowles recorded 19 points and a franchise-high 13 rebounds, marking the seventh time she has recorded a double-double in the first half of a game and is the second-most occurrences in WNBA history, trailing just Tina Charles (8), per Elias Sports Bureau.

Including tonight, Fowles has recorded four first-half double-doubles with the Lynx and three with Chicago. Four is the most first-half double-doubles in franchise history. The only other player to do this more than once is Maya Moore, who did it twice.

Scoring 29 points and 20 rebounds, Fowles also becomes the fourth player to score 25+ points and 20+ rebounds in a regular season WNBA game, the first since Candace Parker scored 27 points and grabbed 20 rebounds on Jun. 1, 2013 vs San Antonio.

Napheesa Collier added 18 points, five rebounds, two assists and one block, marking her 11th game of the season (38th career) 15+ point/5+ rebound game.

Team Notes

Minnesota held Seattle to 37.8% (28-of-74) from the field and are now 128-4 (8-0 this season) when holding their opponent to under 40% shooting from the field, dating back to 2011.

The Lynx broke a seven-game losing streak against the Storm with tonight's 76-70 victory.
