Attack Welcome Erie for Weekend Festivities

There will certainly no shortage of activity at the Bayshore Community this weekend when the Erie Otters visit for their annual double header weekend. The Otters (24-21-1-1) currently sit 7th in the Western Conference and if the playoffs were to start today, the Attack and the Otters would find themselves in a first round match-up against one another.

Bidding for Sunday evening's Shorty's Classic Grill "Eat Your Heart Out" Charity Dinner begins at 6:30pm Saturday and carries right through until the puck drops to begin the third period of play. This is a unique opportunity fans to get up close and personal with their favorite Attack Star. Bidding price includes dinner for the winning bidder and the player.

Saturday will also be a special "Mercury's" night as the Attack will honor J.D. McArthur prior to the evening's game. Joseph Donald "J.D." McArthur was born on January 29th, 1926 and was a longtime local sportsman and businessman who coached and sponsored sports teams in Owen Sound for many years and also played for the Owen Sound Mercury's during the 1950's. Instrumental in the construction of the Bayshore Community Centre, the facilities main playing surface was named after him. Several events, including a tire rolling contest will go on throughout the evening.

Sunday afternoon, the festivities begin at 2:00pm and Early Bird Season Ticket Holders are reminded that this Sunday is the last rain check game of the season. Rain checks MUST be done prior to 5:00pm on Saturday.
