The Owen Sound Attack is pleased to announce that they have signed 2016 Draft Pick Daylon Groulx to an Ontario Hockey League standard player agreement.

Groulx, was a 4th Round draft pick of the Attack in the 2016 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection and is currently playing for the Fort Erie Meteors of the GOJHL. The 16 year old has tallied 9 goals and 6 assists in just 10 games this season.

"Daylon was very impressive during training camp and has obviously had a very positive start to his Junior Career with Fort Erie.", stated Dale DeGray, General Manager. "We're excited to have Daylon and his family be a part of our organization and look forward to monitoring his development with Fort Erie throughout the season."

The Ontario Hockey League isn't new to the Groulx family. Daylon's father Wayne sits 3rd on the OHL's All-Time scoring list with 187 goals and 290 assists in just 267 games. His 477 points put him just two back of 1st All-Time.

Groulx will not join the Attack immediately, however; he is expected to be called up when Aidan Dudas departs to participate in the World U17 Challenge later this month.

In another roster move, the Attack has released forward Greg Smith. We wish Greg and his family the best moving forward as he joins the Soo Thunderbirds.
